2021 marks our first year participating in the Coldest Night of the Year Walk!
The Coldest Night of the Year is a cause that takes place every February where tens of thousands of Canadians step outside the comfort of their homes to walk one night in the cold and dark to declare their concern for those who have no home, who battle to house and feed their families, and who are overwhelmed by isolation, guilt, and despair. This night allows Canadians all over to humbly realize anyone can lose their footing, but together we are here to help build one another up again.
Every step during the coldest night of the year brings a Canadian closer to safety, closer to home, and closer to a transformed life.
Unfortunately, this year we were unable to participate together as a group but we had an amazing day spent ‘together yet apart’, walking with our families to help spread awareness.
Eden Food for Change works to be a place where everyone in western Mississauga can be a part of a community focused on good food. At Heritage House Dental, we ran our annual food drive during the month of December to donate to the Eden Food Bank for this holiday season.
This holiday season our staff dipped into their creative side in decorating ornaments in a friendly Staff Ornament Decorating Contest. This Tuesday we had our Holiday Decorating Contest winners, Raegan and Rhylee choose the staff winner!
After careful consideration Raegan and Rhylee selected Ola as our Heritage House Staff Ornament Decorating Contest Winner! In addition to winning the basket, Ola had the opportunity to choose a charity for our staff fundraising box of $250 will be donated to. Ola’s charity of choice is the Youth without Shelter.
We have some very talented artists here at Heritage House Dental, take a look below at some of their creations from this season!
This year we held a virtual holiday decoration contest and had so many beautiful submissions! Congratulations to our winners, Raegan and Rhylee! Your hand crafted tree and Heritage Dental Ornament blew us away, great work!
Thank you to everyone who participated in the contest, there were some fabulous creations!
Thank you to our very own team member, Paula for organizing a donation of toothbrushes, tooth paste, and floss for the Shephard’s Cupboard Food Bank.
We are so grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community. With our donation along with other necessities found in the photos, baskets will be made to go out the community in need this holiday season.
It’s that time of year again and like every year, to kick start the holiday season, Heritage House Dental is proud to donate to the 2020 Basketeers.
Each year violence and abuse drive more than 100,000 women and children out of their homes. Basketeers is an organization that assists these women as they transition back into the community after leaving a shelter.
The simple necessities and niceties of life are bundled in a basket and gifted to women as they embark on the next chapter of their lives. This year looked a little different from previous years. With the current state of the Global Pandemic, Basketeers have prepared gift card bundles to numerous spots including Walmart, Presto, Canadian Tire, and more from our donation!
Many of us would take the contents for granted but they are invaluable to these courageous women and their children, as they embark on a new beginning.
The doctors and staff at Heritage House Dental take pride in giving back to the community. We wish everyone a Happy Holidays!
For over 30 years, Eden Food For Change has been working hard to alleviate food insecurity in Mississauga by providing fresh, healthy and nutritious food to members of our community. The COVID-19 pandemic has unfortunately lead to 1 in 8 Canadians having a hard time putting food on their table. This number has continued to increase with the growing rate of unemployment caused by this global pandemic.
Eden Food For Change has recently partnered with Domino’s Pizza for a Dough Raiser, providing us with delicious pizza while simultaneously helping our community fight hunger!
Heritage House Dental once again proudly participated in the Dress For The Cause campaign to help raise awareness for Breast Cancer Research. We all have women in our lives that we love; a mother, a sister, a daughter, a niece, a friend… the list goes on. Fighting cancer is everyone’s fight and every dollar raised means new research and one step closer to a cure!
We dressed in pink to support all the women in our lives we love. Thank you to everyone who made a donation to this great cause. We appreciate all the support in raising awareness and funds for Breast Cancer Research and we are looking forward to participating again in 2021!
